in it the importance of karma is explained by characters like ,

shri krishna, arjuna draupadi and pitamah bhisma 

 

arjuna himself while fighting on the field of kurukshetra,

when he hesitates to fight his relatives,shri krishna gives arjuna  the khowladge of shrimad bhagwad geeta,

and arjuna performs his karma without any attachment and kills 

the  kauravas.

and protects religion.
